"Granular" Dreams Forever

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 31 July 2015 in Plant & Nature.

This image seemed to be a big hit on Facebook and so I thought i would try it here. These are Corn Flowers blooming in a wildflower field near my work. The morning I shot this was quite overcast with brightness, which made a nice glance of the flowers.
I captured this with my iPhone and edited it in my Snappseed ap right on the iPhone ,,,,some HDR adjustments here and a few teaks there and I came up with this. I hope you like it...what do you think?

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"

It reminds me very much of simple prints my mother would hang on a wall for decades just because she liked them . . some of which I have on my walls, now . . because I like them.

What a lovely shot, Den!! Coneflowers (otherwise known as Echinacea) are one of my fave flowers. They are now in several different colors, too. Some herbal medicine folks say it can cure the common cold. I only know this because I use to take it in pill form and didn't work for me:) Anyway, have a pleasant visit with your kids. love to you and Barbara. peggy
