The "Transporter"

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 14 August 2015 in Transportation and Portfolio.

Made with steel from The Bethlehem Steel Company in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, this beauty has long graced the opening to San Francisco Bay which was dubbed "The Golden Gate" by settlers and gold seekers. This powerful structure has served as a transporter of life, love, laughter, and dreams to all as they carry themselves from North to South - South to North...every day.
This bridge unites a country, a State, a way of life....It has been written about, sung about, photographed....the bridge has even served, sadly, as a conduit for suicidal acts! It has truly been the symbol of human variation and emotion ...Yet, most of all....more than any of these other things, it's beauty - at the end of each day - is what remains most strongly in our minds and hearts! The Bridge is love beyond love....Beauty beyond Beauty...And it is faithful beyond compare. A true Transporter in every way!
The Golden Gate Bridge.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
