Last Slice of September Cheese

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 8 October 2015 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

I captured THIS a few mornings ago, on October 5, Monday, at 0701 AM BUT this is actually the waning September moon - The Harvest Moon, very near the last quarter. I really did not think much of the image at first, but later, I was playing around with it and noticed that vertical row of craters just in view on the visible part of the moon. In the sky, those wispy clouds had just a touch of evening color...And the cloud that appeared to be rising right out of the moon struck me as a plume of steam.....and so, I hope you like this last slice of Harvest Moon Cheese :-)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
