A Moonlit Night in Joshua Tree National Park

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 27 January 2016 in Landscape & Rural.

Many years ago, before we left California to be relocated to the east coast, we paid another visit to Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California - truly one of our most favored National parks. "Joshua tree" (as it is often termed) straddles the Mojave and Colorado deserts of the Southern California., Nevada, Arizona region........It was a cold early March evening and The colors were amazing in the sky.

More than any other region, the deserts, in my opinion, possess and transmit the most spiritual energy that unites us with the earth and the sky and the heavens above. I hope you like this one :-)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
