Rush Hour at Grand Central Station

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 11 March 2016 in Animal & Insect.

Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area is filled from water to sky with mostly Snowgeese busily preparing for their journey back north. The noise is raucous, absolutely exhilarating and it is definitely music to my ears.
As you can see, there are geese in almost every section of this image including the patch of white that extends into the scene from the middle left stretching about a third of the way into the shot...This picture is probably not a very good photo, technically or artistically, but it sure was fun to shoot this and see geese literally everywhere :-)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
