Birches-2 / Birches as Backdrop

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 30 March 2016 in Abstract & Conceptual.

To me, Birch trees can be extremely diverse and versatile subjects. They can participate as an abstract and secondary subject, such as their role here as a tree line, all aglow, serving as backdrop to the silhouette of a Sumac Plant. Or other roles, as we will see in coming in future posts.
This was shot in Vermont where we are right now.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

@Darkelf Photography: Thank you so much, DarkElf! This was captured during a beautiful golden hour near our daughter's Vermont house. There were no clouds but there was lots of tone shining off the Birches and other wooded areas..I captured this right from her back yard :-)
