Helplessly Hoping

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 8 April 2016 in Plant & Nature.

It's Vermont - early spring! ....So early that Spring actually decides to leave for a week or two and try coming back another time....
Spring comes grudgingly in Vermont...Winter leaves even more grudgingly!

Eventually, the sun shines longer and longer each day and "push comes to shove" and shove once again. Nevertheless, I feel happy on this rare day in Vermont, because I get to enjoy another dose of my beloved drug entitled "Between Seasons!"

By the way, don't try too hard to focus your eyes on this image..Perhaps not the steadiest of shots - hand held...Also, I edited this in such a way as to induce that feeling of uncertainty regarding the grudging arrival of Spring.

I do hope you like this :-) <3

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
