It might as well be Spring - Fly me to the Moon

Posted by Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 16 May 2016 in Plant & Nature.

We are Still in Vermont where the weather has short patterns of relative warmth followed by longer patterns of cool (quite cool) temperatures.. The flowers seem to be impatient, now defiantly saying, "to hell with this waiting around for Spring - let's bloom!" So here they come., blooming away!

So I was really just playing around with the camera in Amy's garden and snapped a shot of this little phlox. Very honestly, I dd not even notice the little wasp on the one petal. The flowers are only about 3 or 4 centimeters wide from tip to tip! These little wasps are quite tiny.

But here he is hitching a ride - probably singing a medley of "It Might as Well be Spring" and "Fly me To the Moon!"

I hope you enjoy!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
