Simplicity and love - Sunset and Clouds

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 21 May 2016 in Landscape & Rural.

We had just wrapped up shooting a baseball game in Vermont. The day had been cold and windy with no presence of direct sunlight at all. Then, the game ended and I was moving my gear to the car and all of a sudden as the sun reached the horizon, a gap in the clouds at the horizon allowed the gorgeous golden light to shine directly on the trees in the park. The trees were just budding so they still looked almost bare. The combination of soft cloud layer, defined tree limbs and shapes, and the magical light just simply grabbed my soul.
This is not a complicated image but, then, beauty is not really complicated. People are!
Anyway, I hope you like this :-)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
