"Westward Bound" - Noisy iPhone Shots, Chapter 2

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 18 July 2016 in Landscape & Rural.

Well, I have NO idea what happened to Mount Rainer - perhaps Tahoma decided to reclaim it - I hope he did ....

Nevertheless, I decided to run short series of noisy iPhone shots of our recent trip out to the Pacific Northwest. So, if you have been waiting for an opportunity to take that long-awaited holiday, now's your chance, as my typically flawless and wonderful images will be supplanted by iPhone images that actually started with the previous - now vanished - post of Mt Rainier, aka "Tahoma."

Here is one of the many iPhone images that we captured last month while motoring westward - all the way across the country from Eastern Pennsylvania to Western Washington..... Four and one half days .

This is South Dakota (well, part of it, anyway.)!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
