Vanishing Day

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 2 August 2016 in Plant & Nature.

The stories that the sky tells us after sunset can be varied and amazing. Sometimes calm and gray, sometimes bright, even though the sun has long disappeared;

Then, there are those times when the sky wants to tell us a longer story. One full of many messages, all wrapped up into one package.
The sky on Monday evening was like that. It was like a kid who had just returned from a long vacation and she could not wait to tell us about all her adventures....This sky was like that..... Full of impact and colors, motion and gentleness, speed and beauty, and LOTS of tales to tell!

This image was shot at about 8:30PM which, at our location entails a darkening sky. Other than some light editing, I tried very hard to retain that darkness in this image. I did not feel it was necessary to enhance or "help" the cloud spirits in this image. They seemed to be doing fine all by themselves.

Peace

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."

ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
