Just a bit of lighthearted relief here for everyone, :-)
So, there I was... In Vermont ....on the ground... Photographing my youngest grandsons's football team as they carried out their "finely devised" plays...(just kidding, Doug)...
All of a sudden, I hear a noise in the sky and I look up to see this crazy home-made airplane (probably using a lawn mower motor for power) as it was buzzing overhead. It was probably no more than 500 feet / 152 Metres in the air.
You can examine the photo and decide for yourself if this guy was a lunatic or just didn't care..... But My only thought was: "Here's a fine 'How do you do" - i spent one full year in a war zone fearing the worst, and this guy is having fun in the air, flirting with death as he flies on a lawn mower engine!"
** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"
- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
