"The Hills are alive"

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 30 September 2016 in Landscape & Rural.

Here is another shot from my 2006 album of Convict Lake area images, I know the composition and Image quality here, are not the greatest, but I was always enchanted by the little patch of Aspen Trees - there in the center - and by the fact that this shot rather evoked a feeling of being captured by a bird in the sky - swooping down like a dive bomber, only to bank up the far side.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire

An interesting one here Denny. It does give the feeling of flying over these mountains, and the yellow against the blue works very well. Have a great weekend.
