Crew Practice - 6:00 PM under a full Moon

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 11 January 2017 in Landscape & Rural.

Under a full Wolf Moon, From the shores of Lake Sammamish, Washington, USA we see some Crew Teams practicing their skills.
I was out there doing some practicing myself - practicing my skills on a brand new Nikkor 200-500 mm lens. I completely forgot to bring my tripod - stupid, because the damn lens weighs a ton....and, when combined with my D800, it is like carrying a concrete block around, ....so, between the muscle building and operation of the lens, I have a LONG way to go. ;-) But the evening was beautiful....Cold, but Beautiful. I hope you like this image ;-)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
