"Blossoms of Love - Crossing Over" (for Nick)

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 15 April 2017 in Abstract & Conceptual.

Today, April 15, 2017 marks the date that many will be celebrating the life of one who passed.....
On Monday, March 27, 2017, a friend, Photographer, Husband, Father, Teacher lost his battle with cancer.

Nick was one of those kind of people who's aura would be felt even by those of us who never shook his hand, never spoke in person never talked on the phone. Yet it was easy to feel his love and sharing ways,. I would text messages to him about one thing or another dealing with photography and he would always return a kind note that carried along a feeling of closeness and friendship.

Today, many friends and family will be gathering in California, to celebrate this beloved friend's life. Although I will not be there in person, I know that many, like me, will be there in spirit.

Nick has "Crossed Over" to heaven and we remain here, sharing our love and shedding some tears.....and definitely laughing. Nick always left us with a smile or a laugh.

These Blossoms are for Nick and his family and friends. We love you, Nick <3

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
