Death Valley - Looking Back

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 25 June 2017 in Landscape & Rural.

This is a shot that I captured with my little FUJIFILM FinePix E550 (5 MP) way back in 2006 during a visit to Death Vally....The original image is in color but I am presenting it here in a Sepia tone with a frame.
I have played with this image for years, so I try to keep the original 1.2 megapixel image clean.
I apologize for being so "absent" lately...I appreciate everyone's patience with that. I am trying to get some other things taken care of....nothing bad, just a bunch f "stuff!"

Love to you all <3

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
