"Getting Ready for Natalie"

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 21 July 2017 in Lifestyle & Culture.

Here is a look at arena crews setting up the stage and venue for an upcoming Natalie Merchant concert to take place Saturday, 21 July 2017. I captured this as I walked along a "rail trail" (a railroad track converted to a trail) overlooking the grounds....The venue lies on the premises of Chateau Ste. Michele Winery in Woodinville, Washington, (USA), not far from where I live.
I have LONG been a big fan of Natalie Merchant however, I am unable to attend live music events due to the severe case of tinnitus (ringing and constant noises in the ear) that I have.
Natalie is known for her years with the group "10,000 Maniacs."until 1993, when she left the group. Since then, she has worked independently, solo, and collaboration with various other artists engaging in a variety of musical genres. She is so very amazing with a magnificent voice and compelling style. I hope you can look her up and have a listen to some of her music if you are interested...

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
