Silver (or Gold) - Plated Water Lillys

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 15 October 2017 in Plant & Nature.

Enjoying my time at nearby Lake Sammamish last week, I was trying to take advantage of reflections and light that the early evening sun was providing.
I was also really intrigued with the visual story that the stems and lilly pads were providing. The water was so still that visually minimizing a group of the pads and stems really provided an interesting semi-abstract appearance - at least to me..
Finally, the reflection off the wet Lilly Pads seemed to change their color from green to gold or silver...i couldn't be sure which! But I certainly enjoyed the scene! I hope you enjoy.

I am relieved to read of your own perception of the of the pads and stalks here . . I could not quite unravel it in my own mind and even had someone taste my coffee to see if it was 'ok' !!

@Ronnie 2¢: "Laughing out Loud" , I had the same problem.... I thought they appeared to be silver coloured, but my daughter, who is a teacher, said she thought they were(are) Gold! ;-) Nevertheless, I suppose, these days, it's good to haveSONETHING to laugh about and enjoy! Thank you for making me laugh once again, Ronnie! ;-)
