Going Up?

I made this image last July 19, 2017 . It was a difficult shot (ha ha ;-)... I had just walked out of the house to see what the clouds were looking like, as it was nearing sunset. As I looked upward and toward the North, I noticed this very interesting cloud structure. A vertical section of the cloud appeared to be "peeled away" from the main body and as a consequence, it was catching the sun light directly onto it. Also, I was amazed because this type of cloud formation is not quite as common here in the Pacific Northwest summers....but we DO have them......
So, I raised my "lightweight" 2-1/2 Lb - 1.13 kg D800 (good for weightlifting exercises for the 70 year old man) and I exposed and focused (or vice versa) and fired away!

All joking aside I chose the title because it reminded me of some kind of elevator to Heaven, That's what happens to old folks sometimes ;-)

(PS - I like to make fun of the weight of the Nikon Cameras because I am NOT a weightlifter kind of guy and besides, Nikon has been promising a Mirrorless Pro/Enthusiast level DSLR for years - however - so far, there is nothing but stillness in the night....but I digress.)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
