Very Little is changed...Some even seems Worse

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 4 April 2018 in Lifestyle & Culture.

Today (April 4,) will mark the 50th year following the despicable assassination of Dr Martin Luther King as he stood outside on the second floor balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.

So many painful feelings are experienced by many of us every year at this time.

Dr King was a hero to me, as were so many other leaders who were speaking out... and they still do...

To me, it is So sad and shameful that we have yet to learn and change our ways.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
