Fiery Vermont Sunset

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 6 July 2018 in Landscape & Rural.

On a clear evening, this sunset - as it was formulating - prompted my daughter and wife to stop the Car and tell me, "Denny, you Need to get this!"....I wholeheartedly agreed....We were in an "OK" spot to get some clear views so I said "what the heck, Go For It!"

This view looks west (duuhh!!!) through the trees...mountain peaks that you may see at the bottom of the image are actually peaks from the Adirondack Mountains in New York State, roughly 50 miles due west across the huge Lake Champlain which separates Upstate New York and Vermont!

I hope you like this ;-)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
