"Mood Indigo"

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 26 March 2019 in Landscape & Rural.

After sunset, the sky, (which was overcast except along the western horizon) was picking up a peculiar glow from the reflected sunset light coming from that western horizon.

There was some colour in the horizon, but the glow in the above clouds (which were kind of smooth and undramatic) was casting light directly down onto the lake! In turn, the water reflected an amazing, metallic blue tone that I have seen before but not from THIS lake. The look was like Indigo, so That word came to my mind, and just then, the old song (by Duke Ellington, Barney Bigard and lyrics by Irving Mills) instantly came into my
imagination!
This water truly was casting upward An Indigo mood.... Mood Indigo!
I hope you like it!
