Last weekend - (on Sunday, to be exact) we traveled from Vallejo, California to Roseville, california in order to enjoy a wonderful family reunion.
On our return to Vallejo, we were joined by hundreds of vehicles as they carried passengers down from the Sierra Nevada Mountains toward the San Francisco Bay area.
The traffic actually moved along quite well for the most part, but this scene - I shot from the front passenger seat - sort of "tells the tale" regarding California transportation scenes these days....This image was made while traveling westward on Interstate 80 just near Fairfield, California
Note - I am now returned from our trip toCalifornia and will do my best to return to more regular posts of images and words ;-)..I thank All of You for your patience and for your comments ;-)
** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"
- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"; Earth Wind and Fire
