Coast Range Melody - Vallejo Pride

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 26 June 2019 in Landscape & Rural.

Traveling Westward on Interstate 80 from Sacramento, towards, San Francisco, as you get a bit closer to the bays, you begin to see smaller "mountains" to the north and the south, interspersed with grassland areas dairy farms, livestock farms, wineries and LOTS of shopping areas

Traveling westward, this peak lies to the north of Interstate 80 and iy has a very distinctive shape as you can see here.. Behind the peak, there are rivers running into the wetlands, prior to their entrance to San Francisco Bay areas ....the humid air rising from these wetlands and deltas create beautiful colors In the hours around dusk and dawn.

This peak has always been a favorite of mine for decades...It is only about 900 feet high but it does have that distinctive shape.

Look for it if you are ever driving Interstate 80 towards San Francisco Bay area.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
